VELFAC – the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of composite glazing – has been named Best Sustainable Window Manufacturer in the BUILD Magazine 2019 Sustainable Building Awards, also scooping the UK & BUILD Excellence Award for After Sales Services.
‘We are delighted to have won the BUILD Awards for Best Sustainable Window Manufacturer in recognition our approach,’ says Rachel Attwood, Director for VELFAC. ‘As a company, we have always recognised the need to limit our impact on the environment, and this is reflected in our choice of materials and manufacturing processes, and in the design and performance of our windows and doors. Having also won the Award for After Sales Service shows that we have a long-term approach to supporting consumers who choose to specify our products.
Katherine Benton, BUILD Awards Coordinator adds: ‘Sustainable building has transformed into a billion-dollar industry which is making a difference in daily and future living. The sustainable Building Awards reward the work done in the green building industry to ensure the global community decreases its collective carbon footprint.’
VELFAC aluminium / timber windows and doors have been installed in projects across the UK, from major landmark buildings to private houses. Environmental conscious design underpins the VELFAC composite system, including excellent insulation for low energy performance, an ultra-slim frame for better daylighting, and window units which are designed to be easily disassembled into main components (wood, aluminium and glass) at the end of their life cycle
